THE AMERICAN DIPLOMAT THINKS THAT THE REMOVAL OF THE ARMENIAN RESOLUTION FROM THE AGENDA OF THE HOUSE WILL PROMOTE THE BEGINNING OF ARMENIAN-TURKISH DIALOGUE

01.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. “The US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has repeatedly stated that she thinks the best way to normalize Armenian-Turkish relations is the beginning of a dialogue between the two states”. The Counselor to the US Secretary of State for Newly Independent States Steven Sestanovich stated this today following the negotiations with the President of Armenia Robert Kocharian.
Sestanovich declared that the removal of the Armenian Resolution from the agenda of the US Congress House of Representatives will promote the beginning of this dialogue. “In case of the adoption of this resolution we could have faced an entirely different development of events”, the American diplomat said. -0-
