DOCUMENTARY ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE FINALIST OF “MOONDANCE” INTERNATIONAL CINEMA FESTIVAL

“Desolate Road” documentary telling about the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Turkey in 1915 became winner of “MoonDance” international cinema festival in Colorado, US. As reported by the Armenian National Committee of America, the joint work of directors Denise Gentilini and Mireille Kaloustian was recognized as the best in “characteristic documentary” and “original music” nominations. The film tells the story of two Armenians, who survived the Genocide in the Ottoman Turkey, and the contribution of individual representatives of the Turkish population, without whose assistance many Armenians would have been killed in the massacre organized by Young Turks early last century.
