ARMENIA DOES NOT NEGOTIATE TO ENTER THE RUSSIA-BELARUS UNION

30.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. “Armenia and Belarus have many reserves for the realization of cooperation both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of CIS. We do not carry on negotiations to enter the Russia-Belarus Union”, declared the Prime Minister of Armenia Andranik Margarian to the journalists.
His Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Yermoshin, who arrived today in Yerevan for a 2-day working visit, stated: “In the question of other states’ membership in the Russian-Belarusian Union we respect the position of any country, including the position of Armenia if it chooses so”. -0-
