TWO ARMENIAN CHILDREN DIED IN HOSTEL FIRE IN GERMANY

30.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Two Armenian children died and eight other people were wounded on Sunday when a fire broke out overnight in a hostel for foreigners in the northern German town of Hamburg, AFP informs.
An investigation concluded that an electrical fault in a television sparked the blaze which rapidly spread through the flat where the children, aged two and three, were sleeping. The children’s mother had left the flat to look after a neighbor’s child.–0–
