ARMENIAN GENOCIDE OF 1915 IS A CRIME AGAINST HUMMANITY

23.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armenian Genocide of 1915 is a crime against not only the Armenian people by against humanity and the world community must condemn it, Ara Papian, Spokesman of the Armenian Foreign Ministry stated in an interview to Mediamax.
Commenting the statement by the ex-Foreign minister of Armenia Raffi Hovanessian saying that the third sides will use the lack of Armenian-Turkish relations in their interests, Ara Papian said that while recognizing the Armenian Genocide, some states may have their own dividends along with fulfilling their moral duties.
“However, one must not blame anyone for having such an approach. After the World War II many of the states exerted pressure on Germany in the issue of recognition of Holocaust,” Ara Papian underlined. –0–
