09.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. “If there is one country in the world that cannot even dare speak about a genocide, that country is the U.S.,” the Turkish former prime minister and leader of the opposition True Path Party (DYP) Tansu Ciller said to NTV TV company commenting the resent discussions of the bill on Armenian Genocide in the U.S. House of Representatives.
According to Ciller the U.S. is making a major mistake as the historians had provided documentation proving that the “genocide” had never happened.
The former prime minister announced that there are 30,000 Armenians living in Turkey who are not Turkish citizens. “Let’s send these people back to Armenia or simply place them outside of Turkey’s boundaries. Let them worry about the consequences of their actions. There are various solutions such as this which I am looking forward to discussing with the prime minister,” Ciller said. –0–
