TURKISH TRANSPORT MINISTER CANCELLED HIS VISIT TO U.S. AS A SIGN OF PROTEST AGAINST ADOPTION OF ARMENIAN RESOLUTION IN KEY CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEE

09.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Turkish Transport Minister Enis Oksuz has cancelled his visit to Washington D.C. for participation in the international conference.
According to the information of Turkish sources the Minister said in his statement that he had cancelled a planned trip to U.S. to protest the adoption of the bill on Armenian Genocide in a key congressional committee.
For the same reasons last week the head of the Head Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces had also cancelled his visit to U.S. planned for October 15-20. –0–
