TURKISH PRESIDENT HAS ANOTHER PHONE TALK WITH HIS U.S. COUNTERPART

09.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. On October 6 the Turkish president Ahmed Sezer had another phone talk with his U.S. counterpart Bill Clinton. The theme of the talk was the discussion of the Armenian Resolution in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The Turkish president underlined that he expects from Clinton personal efforts for preventing the approval of the resolution on the Armenian Genocide by the House.
The Armenian Resolution was discussed during October 2 phone talks between the both presidents as well. According to the Spokesman of the U.S. Council of National Security Mr. Crowly, the U.S. President announced that he shares the concern by the Turkish president over the fact of discussion of the Armenian Genocide in the U.S. House of Representatives.
It is expected that the discussion of the Resolution on the Armenian Genocide of 1915 will start this week in the U.S. Congress. –0–
