On the threshold of the oncoming UEFA Champions League match against Apoel FC (Cyprus), Shakhtar FC midfielder Henrik Mkhitaryan confessed that the loss vs. Porto (Portugal) did not dampen his spirits.
“There are five more matches to follow and we’ll try hard to win every game. After the defeat by Porto, we will be utterly motivated against Cypriots. We have to come up to our fans’ expectations,” Shakhtar FC official website quoted Mkitaryan as saying.
Porto is leading UEFA Champions League Group G with 3 points, followed by Apoel (3 points). Shakhtar and Zenit lost their first round matches to be left with zero points.
