THE SECOND SESSION OF THE US-ARMENIA JOINT ECONOMIC TASK FORCE WILL COMMENCE ON SEPTEMBER 12

12.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Second Session of the United States-Armenia Joint Economic Task Force will commence on September 12, 2000, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the Embassy of Armenia in the Unitaed States.
During their visit Armenian Cabinet members will discuss the wide spectrum of issues concerning the improvement of investment climate, macroeconomic policy, fiscal issues, legislative reforms, foreign investment, anti-corruption efforts, energy security for Armenia, anti-draught program of actions, direction of US assistance program for Armenia, as well as other bilateral issues.
In parallel with the intensive interagency agenda during the Task Force sessions, the delegation will also have several meetings in the US Congress, with the administration and international financial institutions in Washington. The Armenian government officials will also have several meetings with the Armenian-American Community Leadership.
The official delegation of the Republic of Armenia headed by the Minister of Finance and Economy Mr. Levon Barkhudaryan arrived in Washington, DC on September 10, 2000. The delegation members are: Mr. Karen Cheshmaritian, Minister of Industry & Trade, Mr. Karen Galustian, Minister of Energy, Mr. David Harutyunian, Minister of Justice, Mr. Edward Madatian, Minister of Transport & Communications.
The delegation will leave for Armenia on September 16, 2000. –0–
