17.08.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. “The Ukraine is ready to assist the settlement of the Karabakh conflict in any possible way”, declared today Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Ukraine to Armenia Alexander Bozhko at the briefing, dedicated to the 9th anniversary of the Ukraine’s independence.
In reply to the question of MEDIAMAX, Mr. Bozhko said that within the framework of the unofficial summit of the leaders of CIS states, with the assistance of the Ukrainian president the meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will take place in Yalta. As the ambassador informed, with the consent of the two sides trilateral negotiations with the participation of the Ukraine are also possible.
“We welcome the idea of common security system in Transcaucasian region and approve the possible signing of Common regional security system pact”, said the Ukrainian diplomat. -0-
