Armenian grandmaster Hrant Melkumyan scored 6,5 points out of 9 to finish 3rd at the open which was held in Bastia, on the island of Corsica.
With the same number of points, GM Avetik Grigoryan took the 10th place. Both Armenians were only half a point behind the winner, GM Krisnan Sasikiran of India.
Vahe Baghdasaryan and Aghasi Inants scored 6 points each, Gary Giroyan gained 5.5, Gourgen (Guy) Hazarabedian had 4 points.
