On November 7, the opening ceremony of Armenian-Indian Center for Excellence in ICT was held at Yerevan State University with participation of Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Indian Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Sachin Pilot.
The center is aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in IT sector and conducting joint research programs.
During a briefing RA Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan and Sachin Pilot noted that Indian and Armenian governments allocated USD 1.8 mln and USD 200 mln for the center’s establishment respectively.
According to Minister Davtyan, Armenian-Indian Center for Excellence in ICT is the third international IT center to have opened this year after Microsoft Innovation Center and TUMO Center for Creative Technologies.
