Armenia will face off against the Netherlands in the 8th round of Porto Carras-hosted European Team Chess Championship.
The board pairings were announced as follows: Levon Aronian – Anish Giri, Sergei Movsesian – Loek Van Wely, Vladimir Akopian – Ivan Sokolov, Gabriel Sargissian – Daniel Stellwagen.
After the 7th round, Armenia is placed 2nd with 18 points; Netherlands is 7th with 15,5 points.
The board pairings for women’s team vs. Serbia are as follows: Elina Danielian – Natasa Bojkovic, Lilit Mkrtchian – Irina Chelushkina, Lilit Galoyan – Andjelija Stojanovic, Maria Kursova – Ljilja Drljevic.
Armenia women’s team dropped to the 10th place with 14,5 points.
