IRANIAN-ARMENIAN-GREEK TRILATERAL COOPERATION NOT AGAINST ANY COUNTRY

18.07.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armenian-Iranian-Greek trilateral cooperation is not directed against any country, about this declared in Tehran the deputy foreign minister of Iran Mohammad-Hossein Adeli, who was on a business visit in Armenia last week.
As IRNA reports, Adeli declared that the opening of joint enterprises and the elimination of barriers will open new horizons for the development of trilateral cooperation.
At the meeting with the prime minister of Armenia Andranik Margarian on July 14 the deputy foreign minister of Iran Adeli noted that financial means are already found in Tehran for the construction of the Iranian section of the pipeline, and some works are being carried out to draw foreign investments. Prime Minister Margarian suggested to the Iranian side realizing capital investments in the enterprises of Armenia where the natural gas is used as raw materials. Prime Minister named perspective the possibilities of the construction of Iran-Armenia oil pipeline and an oil-processing works in Meghri.
According to Adeli, the perspective of the realization of transit goods transportation through Armenia, which will gain wide scope after the improvement of the road conditions and the construction of the Kajaran tunnel, aroused great enthusiasm in Iran. -0-
