10.07.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. An agreement was signed in Washington,
D.C. between the government of Armenia and the World Bank about Transport credit program, according to which Armenia will get on credit 40 million dollars (29.9 million in SDR).
As was informed to MEDIAMAX in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the Council of the World Bank approved this program on June 8, 2000. The program will be directed to the restoration of motor-roads of Armenia and to the financial normalization of the management of the Armenian Railway.
The agreement from the Armenian side signed the Ambassador of Armenia to the USA, Arman Kirakosian, from the side of WB – the acting vice-director of WB for Europe and Central Asia, Shigeo Katsu. -0-
