ARMENIA PARTIALLY FREE COUNTRY ON FREEDOM HOUSE RATING

According to Freedom in the World-2003 report of the Freedom House American human rights organization, Armenia is recognized partially free country. Out of the countries of the former USSR Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova are also recognized partially free. It should be noted that when defining the status of a country the level of political rights and civil liberties is taken into consideration. Out of the post-Soviet countries, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are recognized not free. It should be reminded that in 2002 Azerbaijan was among partially free countries.
