The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) may garner less votes than expected at parliamentary election, according to United Labor Party leader.
As Gurgen Arsenyan told a news conference in Yerevan, “public discontent over domestic situation and recent shifts in presidential staff cannot but affect RPA rating.”
Also, the politician did not rule out a possible influence of Russia’s State Duma elections on the situation in Armenia.
On December 6, RPA nominees, Samvel Nikoyan and Eduard Sharmazanov were elected as Armenian National Assembly speaker and vice speaker respectively, as a result of secret ballot.
