The meeting of the “Caucasian four” at the level of the secretaries of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia’s Security Councils is planned to be held in Tbilisi first half of 2004, as reported by Interfax agency, deputy to the Georgian Security Council secretary Konstantin Ragava told journalists today. In his words, the issue will be discussed today by the representatives of the Security Councils of the “Caucasian four” in the course of the sitting of the SC secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (SCTO) member-countries. K. Ragava reminded that conducting the quadripartite meeting in Tbilisi was planned for late 2003, however it did not take place because of the power change in Georgia. The issues of security in the region as well as a number of issues of economic nature will be considered at the “Caucasian meeting”. To note, secretary of the Armenian Security Council, defense minister Serge Sargsian is representing Armenia, which is the member of the SCTO, at the Dushanbe forum. The representatives of Azerbaijan and Georgia not serving on the SCTO participate in the forum as observers.
