President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR) Arkady Ghukasian today met with European Parliament rapporteur on the South Caucasus Pierre Garton in Yerevan. As the press service of the NKR president told “Arminfo” agency, P. Garton was specifically interested in A. Ghukasian’s opinion on the prospects of establishment of mutual confidence between the parties to conflict. Thereupon, the NKR president emphasized the importance of forming conditions for establishing an atmosphere of mutual trust. He reminded that as before official Baku refuses from direct negotiations with Stepanakert, which is a considerable obstacle for the peace process. He accentuated the inadmissibility of laying down preconditions for resuming the talks.
