Levon Ter-Petrossian’s supporter Khachatur Sukiasyan plans to run for Armenian National Assembly elections, according to Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper.
Dwelling on rumors claiming Sukiasyan’s candidacy will not be registered due to his not having continuously resided in Armenia for the past five years, newspaper representative refuted them, writing that Mr. Sukiasyan often goes on business trips which, however, should not hamper the registration process.
Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), in turn, intends to nominate former Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan for the same constituency, Haykakan Zhamanak reported.
