EURASEC STATE HEADS TO CONSIDER GIVING OBSERVER STATUS TO ARMENIA

The issue of giving Armenia a permanent observer status under the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) will be considered at the forum of heads of the EurAsEC states to be held in Dushanbe April 27. As reported by the EurAsEC press service, a large range of issues of integration interaction will be presented for the presidents’ consideration on the whole. EurAsEC secretary general Grigory Rapota will also participate in the discussion. Issues of protection of internal markets of the Community states, arranging admission points at the external frontiers of the Custom union member states, cooperation at the securities market, usage of hydro energy resources in the Central Asia will be discussed. Let us remind that the EurAsEC includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan. Moldova and Ukraine have observer status.
