Aronian’s game v Gashimov named best in round 6

After a victory over Vugar Gashimov of Azerbaijan, Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian gained 4.5 points to lead the 74th Tata Steel Chess Tournament ongoing in Wijk aan Zee, the Netherlands.

Aronian’s game against Gashimov was recognized the best one in round 6.

Norway’s Magnus Carlsen has 4 points after tying the game v David Navara (Spain).

In round 7, Aronian will face off against Vassily Ivanchuk (Ukraine), who is 6th with 3.5 points.
