Armenian people should love the army like their own son, veteran of Artsakh liberation war said.
“Only a loved child may become a good person,” Vardan Amalyan recalled the words of late Vazgen Sargsyan.
“In other fields, the lack of personnel can be replaced by foreign specialists. In case with the army we cannot ask any country to defend us,” he said, adding that the army must be permanently improved into really “mighty”.
Amalyan criticized excessive publicity in covering army problems and called on journalists to be more careful and keep in mind that the war is not over yet.
In turn, military expert Artsrun Hovhannisyan stressed that all problems of society are mirrored in the army and can’t be solved by the military leaders. “Another problem is that our nation does not associate the state with the homeland yet and army must be a linking bridge in this issue,” he said.
