Manifestations of discrimination and racism are observed in Azerbaijan, says an account of the Council of Europe Commission on struggle against racism and intolerance referring to the situation in Azerbaijan, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Moldova and Sweden. According to the account, refugees, foreigners, religious minorities and Armenians are being discriminated against in Azerbaijan at present. At that, as noted by the account, definitions of “racism” and “discrimination” are applied in Azerbaijan only to “most serious and cruel cases of their manifestation, while ignoring everyday manifestations of racism.”
