Armenian grandmaster Avetik Grigoryan lost to Russia’s Maxim Matlakov in the 5th round of Moscow Open’s Student Grandmaster Cup.
After the game, Grigoryan dropped 7th with 2,5 points, while Matlakov is 2nd with 3,5 points; Ray Robson (U.S.) is leading the tournament with 4 points.
In round 6, Grigoryan will face off against Russia’s Alexey Reshetnikov who’s 5th with 2,5 points.
David Shahinyan, Artur Gharagyozian, Tigran K Harutyunian, Manuel Petrosyan, as well as Lilit Galojan, Evgeniya Doluhanova, Karina Ambartsumova are representing Armenia at National Cup stage among men and women respectively.
