Azeri defense minister Safar Abiyev will visit the US within the coming 2-3 weeks. The issue, as reported by “Mediamax” agency, was discussed in the course of a meeting of Azeri president Heydar Aliyev and US ambassador to Baku Ross Wilson. The diplomat reported that the US defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s invitation had already been handed to Safar Abiyev.
