Azerbaijan’s statements on the availability of over 8 thousand Azeri prisoners of war in Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh have nothing to do with the reality. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, lieutenant general Manvel Grigorian said. At the same time, in his words, Yerevan has repeatedly suggested that the Azeri party to directly make sure such information is false. The general noted that Armenia in her turn called the Azeri authorities to provide it an opportunity to check the availability of Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan, but has not received either a response or explanation of the reasons for such a position yet. Moreover, Baku does not wish for international organizations to engage in it. Deputy defense minister of Armenia again confirmed Armenia’s readiness to discuss all proposals of the Azeri party on the issue.
