The illustrated three-language book-album “Ani” was published within the framework of events dedicated to the 1050th anniversary of foundation of the ancient Armenian capital.
Presenting the book to the journalist, head Research on Armenian Architecture NGO Samvel Karapetyan said the book was published by the order of the Diaspora Ministry of Armenia, while the Ministry of Culture supported its publication.
The book comprises many sections, each of them presenting a detailed plan of the construction. The album also includes churches in villages near Ani which were never mapped before. There are over 600 photographs in the book, and the album presents 3D models of constructions, Karapetyan said.
