The Armenian Youth Foundation has come up with an initiative to get back fragments of the statue of Armenian Goddess Anahit from the British Museum.
The Foundation is launching a signature campaign for the purpose, the press service of Armenian Youth Foundation reported.
“Many museums in the world display exhibits of Armenian culture, including the bronze head and hands of Goddess Anahit kept in the British Museum. We call on Britain to return these cultural relics to Armenia, as cultural and historic values should be kept in those countries where they were created,” the message addressed to UK ambassadors to Armenia, Jonathan James Aves and Katherine Jane Leach reads.
