RUSSIAN BUSINESSMEN TO PARTICIPATE IN INVESTMENT FORUM IN YEREVAN

Under the aegis of the Armenian president and the Union of Armenians of Russia an investment forum with participation of Russian businessmen will be held in Yerevan May 10-13. Minister of industry, science and technology of Russia, co-chair of the Armenian-Russian inter-governmental commission Ilya Klebanov said in Yerevan today. In his words, the forum is devoted to the issues of Russian capital attraction to the Armenian economy. The Russian minister also reported that April 19 the Russian State Duma would set about ratifying the Armenian-Russian “Property in exchange for debt repayment” agreement, according to which 5 Armenian enterprises pass to Russian ownership as a pay-off for a debt of $93 million. After the ratification, we will begin implementing concrete measures to launch exploitation of the enterprises, I. Klebanov noted.
