ARMENIAN DEFENSE MINISTER EXPLAINED HIS RECENT VISIT TO MOSCOW BY SOLVING PURELY STATE PROBLEMS

My recent trip to Moscow emanated from the need to solve a number of purely state problems. Armenian defense minister Serge Sargsian told journalists today, thus denying rumor that the visit aimed at enlisting the Moscow support for the victory of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) at the coming parliamentary election. Let us note that Serge Sargsian is the second in the RPA electoral list following incumbent prime minister of Armenia Andranik Margarian. The minister also reported numerous meetings with Russian presidential administration leadership, co-chair of the inter-governmental commission on Armenian-Russian cooperation, heads of State Duma committees were held in the Russian capital. Serge Sargsian answered negatively a journalist’s question, whether he would claim the prime ministerial office in the future.
