OPPOSITION PROCESSION NOT MANAGED TO GET TO GOVERNMENT BUILDING, WHERE ARMENIAN PRESIDENT WAS BEING INAUGURATED

Opposition procession participants did not manage to get to the Government building, where Armenian president Robert Kocharian was being inaugurated. When approaching the Republic square, where the governmental building is situated, the procession was stopped by a police cordon. As reported by “Arka” agency, opposition party leaders called demonstrators “not to give way to provocation and not to give rise to reasons for collision.” National Democratic Bloc leader Arshak Sadoyan stated the opposition “will continue to process within the course of organized struggle” and called the march participants to break up and hold the next meeting April 15.
