Head of the Yerevan Municipality Public Relations Department says the asphalt crack in Yerevan’s Liberty Square is conditioned by weather and has no core reasons.
“It poses no threat to the safety. That’s simple crack that needs to be repaired,” Arthur Gevorgyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.
Dwelling on Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc’s incoming rally, he said, “safety of our citizens is the most essential issue for us. We couldn’t allow for a rally to be held here without conducting a study and finding out the real problem regardless of our political views and affiliation. There will be no shift as to the location or the date of the rally since there is no safety problem.”
Mr. Gevorgyan noted the crack filling will be carried out in shortest terms.
