ARMENIAN OPPOSITION REPRESENTATIVES GATHER NEAR GOVERNMENT BUILDING WHERE ARMENIAN PRESIDENT INAUGURATION IS HELD

Representatives of opposition forces of Armenia are gathering near the Government building, where inauguration of Armenian president Robert Kocharian is being held. As reported by “Arka” agency, during a meeting in Yerevan that preceded it Republic Party chairman Albert Bazeyan read an address to deputies of the Armenian parliament calling not to participate in the inauguration of the president “elected by means of gerrymander.” After the meeting those heading for the Government building on the Mashtots avenue run into representatives of law-enforcement bodies, who blocked the avenue. The procession moved farther to the inauguration venue along the Abovian street parallel to the avenue.
