April 24 the opening ceremony of a monument to Armenian composer Komitas will be held in the center of Paris. Some 300 thousand euros were spent on the 6-meter bronze statue. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, Turkish daily “Hurriyet” writes the idea of putting a monument already appeared in early 80-s last century, but became being realized since 2001 after being approved by the Paris authorities.
