Forthcoming elections in Armenia may not bear regular character, due to new developments expected in April, according to Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc member.
“Civilians will take to streets in protest of their living standards,” Gurgen Yeghiazaryan told a press conference.
In this context, he cited the example of election campaign, with the country’s authorities having plunged people into poverty and purchasing their votes for AMD 5000 before elections.
The oppositionist believes in a change in the country and “the ability to get rid of the current authority”.
Mr. Yeghiazaryan noted that ANC can easily pile pressure on the villain for plundering the country.
In this context, a representative from ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Karine Achemyan stressed RPA’s inability to change the country 2 months prior to elections (May 6).
“However we are going to assume the mission within the coming 5 years,” she added.
