Kocharian complained to Putin about Sargyan’s policy – paper

Armenian former president Robert Kocharian’s Moscow visit still sparks serious discussions in the domestic political field. It stirred increased interest when Kocharian’s speaker Victor Soghomonyan did not disclose details of the tete-a-tete meeting between Russian president-elect Vladimir Putin and Kocharian.

Zhoghovurd paper’s sources in Moscow informed that Kocharian has complained to Putin about the foreign and domestic policy pursued by current Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan. He also volunteered to engage in political activities in Armenia, even hold rallies, which, Putin however did not like much. He urged Kocharian to wait saying Serzh Sargsyan had pledged for some moves.

In compliance with journalist ethics, the paper again tried to confirm the reports with the spokesman of Kocharian’s office, but Soghomonyan, as always, did not reply to the reporter’s calls. The response will be perhaps provided via online media.
