Argentina-based David Nalbandian commented on his chance to win the Grand Slam.
“I cannot in any way hope to win a Grand Slam. Djokovic, Nadal, Federer and Murray, the four at the top, have a very high level and there's a clear difference between them and the rest. Beating them at a tournament of this kind and in consecutive matches is impossible. Having had three surgeries at 30 years of age, I can't aspire to that sort of thing. I've come to terms with that,” Nalbandian's official fan blog quoted the player as saying.
Nalbandian recently dropped out of Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, following a defeat by Serbia’s Janko Tipsarevic.
After a week’s rest he will start training for a match vs. Croatia in ¼ final of Davis Cup, due on April 6-8 in Buenos Aires.
“I’m glad for Del Potro’s comeback because you always need to be able to rely on the best players. Hopefully, we will do our best to emerge victorious,” Nalbandian said.
