The Cypriot parliamentary Commission for Education, which represents all political forces of the country, has called the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) not to close Melkonian Armenian lyceum in Nicosia. The Nicosia press reported about it. It should be reminded that in compliance with a decision of the AGBU board, Melkonian lyceum will be closed in June 2005.
