MOST ARMENIANS OF SAMTSKHE-JAVAKHETIA VOTED FOR RULING BLOC IN GEORGIA

The Armenian population of Samtskhe-Javakhetia displayed high activity during yesterday’s parliamentary elections in Georgia. As reported by A-info agency according to the preliminary data, about 30 000 constituents out of the total number of 33 000, voted in favor of National Movement – Democrats (NMD) ruling bloc. In Ninotsminda region 17 200 pollers out of 18 300 took part in the elections and over 15 000 of them showed preference for the ruling bloc. 9 000 out of 13 000 constituents of the Tsalka region gave NMD 70% of votes. 11 000 electors of the 15 000 electorate of Akhaltsikhe region favored for the ruling bloc with 80% of votes.
