PARISIAN LYCEUM PRESENTED DOCUMENTS REFERRING TO ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN OTTOMAN TURKEY

Jacques Dkur Lyceum in Paris hosted the exhibition dedicated to mass crimes against humanity. Documents referring to the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey were as well presented at the exposition. As reported by Yarach Armenian newspaper published in France, despite the fact that the Council of Ministers of Education arrived at the decision to inform schoolchildren only of the genocides that had already been recognized, over 2000 students were shown a great number of photos and documents describing the massacres and deportations of Armenians, which took place in the Ottoman Empire in 1915-1923. The well-known telegrams of Talyat-pasha, the initiator of the massacres, were also presented. The students were offered the opportunity to attend a concert of spiritual music and hear lectures on the following topics: Rwanda, Armenia, slavery, anti-Semitism and others.
