New Hampshire Senators Judd Gregg and John Sununu agreed to cosponsor the 193-th Resolution on mass crimes against humanity, which recognizes the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey as well, thus bringing the total number of cosponsors to thirty-nine, reported the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA). The Genocide resolution introduced in the Senate in June 2003 cites the importance of remembering past crimes against humanity, including the Armenian Genocide, Holocaust, Cambodian and Rwandan genocides, in an effort to stop future atrocities. To note, the document gained widespread support of over 100 ethnic, religious, civil and human rights organizations. It was as well adopted by the House Judiciary Committee last May.
