The House of Representatives of Pennsylvania has unanimously passed a resolution on declaring April 24 the Day of Commemoration of Victims of the Armenian Genocide in 1915-1923. As reported by the local branch of the Armenian National Committee of America, the document notes that 1.5 million Armenians were exterminated in Ottoman Turkey, while contemporary Turkey is recognized a state denying and distorting historical facts. The authorities of Pittsburgh Pennsylvanian town have also declared April 24 a Day of Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide.
