WORLD ARMENIAN UNION BEING FORMED

The first sitting of the committee on organization of the World Union of Armenians (WUA) will take place in Yerevan tomorrow. As reported by chairman of the WUA initiative group, president of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamian, the structure being created will engage in “problems of vital importance for the Armenians of the world.” As reported by “Mediamax” agency, Ara Abrahamian named contribution to the development and strengthening of Armenia, working out of a common stand on international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, formation of a World Armenian Commercial and Industrial Holding among these. Ara Abrahamian noted that the WUA would be open for cooperation with all Armenian organizations. The organizational congress marking the formation of the World Union of Armenians will be held in Moscow October 5, 2003.
