BUSH TO DECORATE US HISTORIAN OF ARMENIAN ORIGIN WITH ORDER

US resident, Armenian historian and tutor Vardan Grigorian was included in the list of 12 people to be decorated with the Order of Liberty in accord with George Bush’s decree from June 18, 2004. Pope Joan Pavel II, famous perfumer Este Lauder, who died this April, are among the recipients of the award. V. Grigorian heads Karnegi New York philanthropic organization at present. Earlier he was at the head of the Brown University; in the eighties he was President of the New York Public Library. The decoration ceremony is scheduled for June 23.
