Members of the joint delegation of subcommittees of the Security of Civil Development Commission and Political Commission of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will pay a call to Yerevan on September 13-15. As reported by the press service of the RA National Assembly, meetings of the delegation members with RA NA Speaker Artur Baghdasarian, chairman of the NA permanent commission for defense, national security and home affairs, head of the Armenian associated delegation of the Armenian parliament to the NATO PA Mher Shahgeldian are scheduled for September 13. A round table discussion with the participation of the members RA NA permanent commission for foreign affairs and defense, national security and home affairs will be held on the same day. Issues referring to the local reforms, NATO’s role in the sphere of national security, policy and defense priorities, Armenia’s role in providing regional security will be considered during the meeting. On September 14 the delegates are scheduled to meet with Armenian President Robert Kocharian, Defense Minister Serge Sargsian, Chief of the Police Haik Harutyunian and Foreign Minister Deputy Tatul Margarian. Round table discussion with the representatives of public organizations of the republic is as well expected.
