Yesterday Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II received Ukrainian Minister of Home Affairs Nikolay Bilokon, who is on a formal visit to Armenia, and RA Police chief Haik Harutyunian. As reported by the press office of Holy Echmiadzin, in the course of the meeting Haik Harutyunian aquatinted the Catholicos with the cooperation established with the Ukrainian Home Affairs Ministry and expressed satisfaction with its level. In his turn Garegin II noted the importance of the activities of the law-enforcement bodies of the two countries aimed at preservation of stability and legality as well as at resisting common challenges. In this view the Catholicos mentioned the role of the Church in overcoming problems the humanity is facing. Expressing his gratitude to the Armenian Patriarch, the Ukrainian Minister spoke of the necessity of the joint struggle against terrorism and other problems. To note, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Armenia V. Tyaglo was also present at the meeting.
