Armenian parliamentarians blocked the attempts of the Azeri deputies to put Karabakh issues on the agenda of the 111-st Summit of the Interparliamentary Union (IU) in Geneva, chairperson of the Armenian delegation to the IU, parliament deputy Hranush Hakobian told journalists today. In her words, the Azeri delegation made an attempt to put two issues – ethnic and international conflicts and refugees and migrants – on the agenda of the summit and commissions. However, according to H. Hakobian, she addressed the IU a letter with a suggestion not to consider the issues proposed by the Azeri deputies, as the discussion of the above mentioned questions is in the competence of the OSCE and the Minsk Group. To remind, the 111-st summit of the Interparliamentary Union, which is formed by 144 countries of the world, was held in Geneva September 29-October 1. To note, the resolution of this international body does not bear an imperative nature.
