When asked whether Turkey will recognize the Armenian Genocide, Turkish Ambassador to France Uluc Ozulker stated in an interview with Le Parisien French newspaper, “This genocide is not documentally proven. Of course, there were events arousing pity, however evidence is necessary in order to speak of a genocide. And there is no such.” In his words, impartial international historians should be gathered to arrive at a common legal conclusion. “Turkey will accept the outcome of such work,” the Turkish Ambassador to Paris said.
